After upgrading to Kernel 2.6.39, I can connect to the novell file system. I will try the 2.6.39 with the nvidia-driver running. Might nvidia be a problem, too? I updated to 2.6.39, too: > novell_ubuntu$ uname -r 2.6.39-0-generic At first the machine did not boot. After a "repair packages" in recovery mode, the machine worked normally, apart from ncp. Nautilus/Console show the content of the network folders at first. After less than five actions within the folder, nautilus/console hangs. Any ideas? Hi, I have the same problem. Using nautilus, i get an empty windows and sometimes (quite always) a black screen with messages, as when login without GUI.
