Nope, neither kernel nor Evolution caused any problems since then. The problems seems to be lost in the seas of entrophy. Backtrace from attached gdb. It lacks several symbols but only after poll(), so it should (?) be usable anyway. Whops! While trying to get some more debug info I the kernel crashed on me. After a reboot evolution worked again.
