[Bug 775093] Re: Provide a way to always boot into failsafe/xdiagnose mode
Thanks I'll follow this here. a lot of what is going back and forth on these posts is above my head. I have tried a few boot options, like putting "i.915 modeset=1 and ...modeset=0 and "nomodeset". with varying poor results. I have also tried a few different ppa'a and trying to force vesa driver. I have not been able to get a regular gui on this box with any distro above 8.10. the box does fine with the failsafeX driver in "recovery" mode. I don't always get an option to boot into recovery, though. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/775093 Title: Provide a way to always boot into failsafe/xdiagnose mode -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
