[Bug 776438] Re: Kernel error when connecting to WPA/WPA2 Enterprise
I was getting with error with a Acer 722 with a Broadcom 4313 card when trying to sign into my WPA2 network. I was able to workaround it by re- configuring my home wifi/router setup. I originally had my dsl router and wifi switch on the same subnet, with my router assigning the address. I now have them on separate subnets now and everything is working correctly. If you have more than switch on your network try just connecting directly and then go from there. Hope this helps. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/776438 Title: Kernel error when connecting to WPA/WPA2 Enterprise To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/776438/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 776438] Re: Kernel error when connecting to WPA/WPA2 Enterprise
How about WPA/WPA2 Personal? I notices a few odd items in the log files: - NetworkManger is unhappy: > NetworkManager[834]: supplicant_interface_acquire: assertion `mgr_state == > NM_SUPPLICANT_MANAGER_STATE_IDLE' failed - There's an assortment of ioremap errors: > kernel: [ 22.238216] ioremap error for 0x8b70b000-0x8b70c000, requested > 0x10, got 0x0 but I'm not sure who's calling ioremap at that point. - And a few of these: > kernel: [ 672.821992] wl0: wlc_recv: dropping a frame with invalid src mac > address, a2: 0f:06:53:69:6e:67 with various mac addresses. Any possibility of sniffing the traffic on the air to see if these are actual bogus frames vs. some buffer mangling happening in the receive path? We'll try to repro on another 64-bit machine. Does this only happen with WPA/WPA2 APs, or does it also happen with open APs? Also, which wireless chip is in this system (lspci -n)?
