[Bug 777110] Re: No Resume on Stand-by/Hibernate on Lenovo Ideapad U160 M436CGE
Ok, I found a work-around for this. at least for stand-by. just replace GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT= in /etc/default/grub with this: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=i915.lvds_use_ssc=0 then run sudo update-grub after rebooting, closing the lit and going to and resume from stand-by works. hibernate still doesn't work, but there is another error about a too small swap file. seems to be another problem than this. can someone test this and post the results? ben -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/777110 Title: No Resume on Stand-by/Hibernate on Lenovo Ideapad U160 M436CGE To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/777110/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 777110] Re: No Resume on Stand-by/Hibernate on Lenovo Ideapad U160 M436CGE
Got the same problem here :( I also tried to fix the dsdt-table with a custom kernel which didn't fix anything. Using another kernel as the 2.6.39 results in a black screen directly on boot which can only be worked by by disabling KMS. Is there any chance of getting this to work in the next weeks?
