I set up my Evolution using my windows live.com e-mail and got the error message pop up that says can't send mail pipe broken, maybe I should have use the gmail account instead. Now my question is how do I revert to restore default in order to change my email account to combine it with gmail instead of live.com mail account. The "broken" pipe message is exactly what happens to me when I try to send email through Evolution. How do I go back and change the STMP server? What do I enter? Do you still have that problem. What sort of STMP server did you configure? Hi sorry about the insufficient data. I was using "evolution" and when i pressed the "send" button a box opened that said "Evolution Error" "Error while performing action" "Could not send message: Broken pipe". That was all the information it gave me. Thanx for the help. Thanks for your feedback. We're gonna need a bit more information to figure out what the problem is. What exactly do you mean by "tried using the e-mail"? Did you open an application? Using the menus? A panel shortcut? Command-line? Are you talking about the Evolution email program? Where did the "broken pipe" message appear? In a dialog? On the command-line?
