The patch noted in comment #14 is already included and available in the
latest 3.0.0-7.8 Oneiric kernel.  As a result, I'm marking this actively
developed linux task Fix Released.  This patch does look like a
candidate for SRU against Natty.  I'll  open and approve the Natty
nomination and see about getting you a test kernel.  Thanks.
