A variant of this bug is when instead of the error message stated in the
bug description, I get "Hostname not found" instead. I suspect it is
related.

[Bug 779060] Re: Déjà Dup does not wait for network connection before attempting to back up to SSH location

2011-05-25 Thread Sune Keller
I have managed to reproduce this error again.

It seems to happen only when resuming from suspend, not on login. It
really does take a long time for my wifi card to reinitialize, so it
might be something with a timeout, as the error message indicates.
Whether or not you handle that in one way or another is a different
matter.

[Bug 779060] Re: Déjà Dup does not wait for network connection before attempting to back up to SSH location

2011-05-18 Thread Michael Terry
Does this happen on login or resume or both? I expect login to work.
But maybe the resume bit has some wonky logic.

That dbus error message is odd. I wouldn't expect that from trying to
back up to SSH. That may be an error when we're trying to talk to
NetworkManager to decide if we're online. If there's an error in that
talk, we assume we're online and try anyway.
