[Bug 784659] Re: Scrolling takes huge amount CPU

2018-08-07 Thread Paul White
Santeri,

We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all
reported bugs in a timely manner. You reported this bug some time ago
and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time.

Can this bug report now be closed or do you still see a problem related
to that which you reported?

If we do not hear from you the bug report will close itself in
approximately 60 days time.

Thank you for helping make Ubuntu better.

[Bug 784659] Re: Scrolling takes huge amount CPU

2011-07-05 Thread Santeri Savonlahti
Upgrade to Natty did not fix. PPA-mesa drivers did not fix either.

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: firefox

- Web browser is hitting a software fallback in the X server, but the Chrome
process is still using more CPU than X.
- Scrolling even a light web site using ATI open drivers on Ubuntu 10.10 eats
huge amount of CPU. Proprietary drivers gives same results. Tested with
Firefox 3.6-4.1 and Google Chrome.
- Graphics card is ATI Radeon 3470.
- Laptop: Toshiba Satelite A300

  Excepted: Scrolling is smooth
Happened: Scrolling lags and eats huge amount of CPU.
