Public bug reported: As part of the WebLive migration to x2go and its integration in Ubuntu, python-x2go has been chosen as the ideal way of integrating x2go into the Ubuntu Software Center.
They already have a descent package available in their PPA: https://launchpad.net/~x2go/+archive/ppa/+packages And I spent a good part of the last two days talking with upstream and with the future Debian packager to get something that we are all happy with. Oneiric now has updated nxproxy and nxcomp that are both requirements for a working python-x2go. I'll be working on getting python-x2go in the archive over the next few days. Code is under the GPLv3 and current PPA packager also happens to be the upstream. Code comes from: http://code.x2go.org/releases/source/python-x2go/ And current packaging is in the upstream git tree: https://code.x2go.org/gitweb?p=python-x2go.git;a=summary The upstream tarball contains a debian/ directory already but packaging is source format 3, so that will just get automatically ignored when needed. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Wishlist Assignee: Stéphane Graber (stgraber) Status: Confirmed ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Confirmed ** Changed in: ubuntu Importance: Undecided => Wishlist ** Changed in: ubuntu Assignee: (unassigned) => Stéphane Graber (stgraber) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/785981 Title: [needs-packaging] python-x2go -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
