[Bug 789007] Re: REGRESSION: No german language support on Natty Live-CD
I downloaded the iso from here: http://www.ubuntu.com/download/ubuntu/download 1st time at ~29. April. To burn the CD-RW, I used ImgBurn on Windows XP. To prepare the USB-Stick, I used the Ubuntu build-in Live media creator from System menu. 2nd time, ~4 weeks later, I downloaded it again and compaired the 2. They were bit to bit equivalent. Can't remember, that I have any options selected. Nothing did appear translated except the launch screen: "Try Ubuntu" -> "Ubuntu ausprobieren". While booting from CD-RW, English was preselected. While booting from USB-Stick, Deutsch was preselected. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/789007 Title: REGRESSION: No german language support on Natty Live-CD -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Could you then describe the exact steps to reproduce the bug? What did you download, what options have you selected, what does not appear translated? ** Changed in: ubuntu-translations Status: Invalid => Incomplete ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: Invalid => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/789007 Title: REGRESSION: No german language support on Natty Live-CD -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 789007] Re: REGRESSION: No german language support on Natty Live-CD

There are others on: http://www.computerbase.de/forum/showthread.php?t=892421 So why is this bug invalid??? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/789007 Title: REGRESSION: No german language support on Natty Live-CD -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 789007] Re: REGRESSION: No german language support on Natty Live-CD
** Description changed: If I boot a 11.04 Live-CD and select "Deutsch" -> Ubuntu ausprobieren, I get a desktop with all menus and applications in english. This is not the case with 10.10 Live-CD. Menus and application were mostly fully translated to german. - The same problem occured, after I installed it on a USB-stick. I couldn't install german support from the internet. + The same problem occured, after I installed it on a USB-stick. Additionally I couldn't install german support from the internet on the USB-stick with persistence support installation. [Bug 789007] Re: REGRESSION: No german language support on Natty Live-CD
This should not happen. German is supported on the Natty CD, and I just started it in Virtualbox - worked for me, everything (except LO) appeared in German. ** Changed in: ubuntu-translations Status: New => Invalid ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/789007 Title: REGRESSION: No german language support on Natty Live-CD -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
