Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox
I had no problems with Firefox, yesterday. Probably it was some system update to cause this wierd behaviour. I'm using Kubuntu 11.04 and nvidia propietary drivers. When I start Firefox I can navigate the menu bar plasmoid, open bookmarks, edit preferences and so on, but I can't click anywhere on the window, nor the navigation buttons. I can just scroll the web page with the mouse wheel. In few words, I can't navigate. It's like the Firefox window has lost interactivity, as it was not an xorg window. $ apt-cache policy firefox firefox: Installato: 4.0.1+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.11.04.3 Candidato: 4.0.1+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.11.04.3 Tabella versione: *** 4.0.1+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.11.04.3 0 500 http://it.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty-updates/main i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 4.0.1+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.11.04.1 0 500 http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty-security/main i386 Packages 4.0+nobinonly-0ubuntu3 0 500 http://it.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty/main i386 Packages ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: firefox 4.0.1+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.11.04.3 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-9.43-generic-pae 2.6.38.4 Uname: Linux 2.6.38-9-generic-pae i686 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Architecture: i386 Date: Fri Jun 3 19:15:55 2011 FirefoxPackages: firefox 4.0.1+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.11.04.3 flashplugin-installer 10.3.181.14ubuntu0.11.04.1 adobe-flashplugin N/A icedtea-plugin 1.1~20110420-0ubuntu1 ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=it_IT:it:en_GB:en LANG=it_IT.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: firefox UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to natty on 2011-05-03 (30 days ago) ** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 natty -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/792463 Title: [natty] Firefox window is not accepting inputs anymore (can't left/right click , tab etc...) -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
