The appointment in Clock applet does NOT match appointment in evolution again! I have had a problem with mine as well. America/Chicago timezone. I modified Chicago.ics and it worked. There is an update timezones patch in gnome-bug #301363 that needed to be upstream (submitted) to Ubuntu Dapper Edgy updates. BTW, I've updated my local copy of the file /usr/share/evolution-data- server-1.8/zoneinfo/Australia/Perth.ics as per attachement. I think this is correct (and appears to work), but should be checked.
