I have a HP pavilion dv6308nr with Feisty Fawn. I updated the kernel from 2.6.20-16 to 2.6.22-13 and the brightness keys stopped working. I confirm the same problem on a dv2081 (Core Duo, Nvidia 7200) Edgy. The built-in controls used to work fine earlier on Edgy, but one of the updates seems to have broken it.
