Public bug reported: It happens after I watch more than a couple of videos with it (it will open but instantly closes when the movie is about to be played) the solution is to log out and login again. after this happens VLC wont work properly either and shows a black screen in place of the video but sound works in VLC. if I change the video output method to something other than GLX video output (in VLC) it will work. I'm using ATI proprietary driver .
