@jdthood - Unfortunately, that did not work to correct the issue.  I ran
apport-collect after the suspend/resume cycle reconnected me, in case
that helps.

@Daniel: Does the following command run in a terminal also fix the
problem?

sudo restart network-manager

If so then please reboot, confirm that the problem occurs, run "sudo
restart network-manager", confirm that the problem has gone away, then
run

apport-collect 812716

to submit additional information.

It is, but the bug only occurs now about 90% of the time instead of
consistently requiring a suspend-resume cycle.  Occasionally, the
network connects reliably upon start-up.
