We can not stop firefox from crashing due to a poorly written extension and you are right we cant package all of them. Apart from packaging, maybe it is possible to make firefox not crash when extensions are loaded? I don't have an idea how, but maybe?.. Because there may be a lot of extensions with binary components, and you can't package them all. Thank you! I could try to install the latest version of Colorzilla (1.0) to check if it works, but I cannot install extensions now (bug #83483). I figured out. Firefox was crashing because of Colorzilla extension. I apologize. It is about:plugins and I typed too fast to think about what I was saying. To get your plugin Copy the names of the files in ~/.mozilla/firefox/*.default or whatever the name of your profile is. OK, I'll check that when I'm back at home. However, I believe that ONLY plugin that resided in my home dir, was Adobe Flash Player 9, and even that is installed as a package now... I suspect this could be caused by one of the extensions I use, but I don't think I'm now supposed to just trash all my Firefox preferences and start with a fresh profile.
