Public bug reported: Sometimes a package needs to replace a configuration file completely that resides in another package, rather than the usual case of simply appending to it, which is the standard usage of dotdee. A good example of this is nginx (tomcat6 another). Some packages already provide such functionality on their own, such as apache, with the sites/modules enabled/disabled paradigm.
It would be nice if dotdee had a solution, similar to alternatives, where conffiles could be switched between. ** Affects: dotdee (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/821096 Title: dotdee feature request: switching between conffiles To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dotdee/+bug/821096/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
