Hi Pochu, Thanks for your answer. In the repositories, I see the vmware player, but not the vmware server. Anyway, I solved the problem. For the archive, on http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=2106156, lamego says that installing inetd or xinetd solves it. I'm here to help you :) You have vmware-server in Feisty, so once Feisty is stable (April), if you upgrade your system to it, you will be able to install it from the official repositories.
