Hey Bryce, no this issue does not come up anymore, therefore I would say it has been fixed. It is also true that I did a complete uninstall of the driver followed by a clean reinstall, and I believe that this is how the issue has been resolved, therefore I think this bug can be closed. Thank you! Hey veet-moha, Hi, thanks for reporting this issue during the development period of Ubuntu. I notice there's not been further comments to the bug report since the release came out, would you mind updating us on the status of it in the release? Are you still able to reproduce the issue? If not, do you think the bug report can be closed, or do you think we should continue tracking it? ** Changed in: fglrx-installer (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/835265 Title: package fglrx 2:8.881-0ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: cannot create /etc/ati/fglrx-uninstall.log: Directory nonexistent To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fglrx-installer/+bug/835265/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Looks like a script needs to ensure /etc/ati exists before writing to it.
