Public bug reported: I noticed someday already that the shortcuts Ctrl + Entry or Ctrl + Shift + Entry doesn't work with website whose name contain a dot in it : planet.ubuntu.com, mail.yahoo.com , forum.ubuntu-fr.org, design.canonical.com ...
way to reproduce the bug : 1- head to one of the mentioned website or any website which contains a dot in its name, do it without typing the "www" and ".com" or ".org" parts. 2- press the combinaison keys : Ctrl + Entry for any website ending with ".com" or Ctrl + Shift + Entry for any website ending with ".org". 3- we get an error from the webborwser. How it should be : 1- head to one of the mentioned website or any website which contains a dot in its name, do it without typing the "www" and ".com" or ".org" parts. 2- press the combinaison keys : Ctrl + Entry for any website ending with ".com" or Ctrl + Shift + Entry for any website ending with ".org". 3- the chosen website should be opened without any error when the appropriate shortcut key it pressed. it should be noted that with Firefox 6 or sooner there was not this problem.
