I do confirm this issue in Intrepid. The conf file (/etc/linesrv/linesrv.conf) generated by debconf is not usable asis and regarding the example shipped with linesrv the whole 'line' section is missing. You have to do it by hand using the sample as a basis. BTW this is an abandoned software with no update since 2005. I'll try to ping the debian maintainer to check if is still maintaining this package. If he doesn't and no one is interested in maintaining this package, then it should be removed from the archive.
