I'm using a Intel D945GCLF2 (Atom 330) motherboard with Ubuntu 8.10. In this network is a Freenas server running. To mount the 2 drives available in my Freenas server I added the following to /etc/fstab 192.168.1.250:/mnt/tvixhd1 /mnt/movies nfs rw 0 0 192.168.1.250:/mnt/tvixhd4 /mnt/audio nfs rw 0 0 After some time my connection on the Ubuntu machine gets lost and slows the Ubuntu machine down or even locks it because it can't find the NFS shared drives. I find in SYSTEM LOG this error. Dec 4 20:52:39 iGadget330 kernel: [38089.188040] nfs: server 192.168.1.250 not responding, still trying Restarting the Freenas server does the trick. I don't think this should be needed since my DVICO TVIX HD5000 player still can find the NFS drives on the Freenas server. It's a Ubuntu/D945GCLF2 problem I think. I am also affected by this issue.
