[Bug 853292] Re: Left arrow inactive
Now i understand the complication, if there is a history and i jump in with the house symbol then i cannot move to another point. My home is the first history point, i can move down to the tree and back to my home. It's a bit confusing that i cannot press the left arrow again to get /home. Okay let's close this bug for now, i take a look to brainstorm if other users feels the same. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/853292 Title: Left arrow inactive To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/853292/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 853292] Re: Left arrow inactive
The bug is confusing, do you want "back" to bring you down a directory in the tree? The "back" action is the same as in i.e firefox it bring you back to the previous location, it's inactivated when you open nautilus since you have no previous location in the history yet ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Triaged ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/853292 Title: Left arrow inactive To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/853292/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 853292] Re: Left arrow inactive
Installed 12.04b1: The bug already exists, the arrow is greyed out when in homefolder. There is no way to jump upwards but to change the text field. Should be easy to unlock this by a programmer. This bug seems to live over releases and have birthday soon.
Life booted a 12.04b1 stick, there this bug exists too. Any opened nautilus windows in /home/owner has an inactive back button. You have to enter /home or / by hand in the textbox. I feel this is a bug, the back button should be active until / is reached -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/853292 Title: Left arrow inactive To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/853292/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 853292] Re: Left arrow inactive
Updated a amd64 and i386 machine to 11.10 fresh, on both this problem still resist. The button did not react to the pointer and nautilus stays in the homefolder. ** Attachment added: "Picture of this problem" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/853292/+attachment/2643804/+files/arrow.jpg ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: Expired => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/853292 Title: Left arrow inactive To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/853292/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
