[Bug 85768] Re: [apport] pycentral crashes on malformed Python-Version fields

 The reason for this crash was a non-Ubuntu package
 that had a malformed Python-Version field:

 Python-Version: $(python:Versions}

do ou still know which package had this wrong attribute?

 The reason for this bug report is that pycentral just bailed out
 with the stack trace, and did not indicate which package was
 at fault.

I'll add this information (at least to the stack trace).

 Perhaps pycentral also should do its best to handle all packages and
 bail out with errors only after all valid packages have been handled?
 Or is skipping broken packages a better policy?

Skipping seems to be wrong; it leaves a broken package as correctly
configured.

I think the package was beryl-settings or some other utility associated
with beryl. The package was packaged by upstream then, the versions now
in feisty don't appear to have this problem.
