It is still present with the live CD (daily 20110927). Tried it on Virtualbox and on a real machine as a live image. In daily ISO 20110926 the search bar does not appear when System Settings is selected. Ioannis, Is this problem still present after the updates on 2011-09-26? I cannot reproduce the problem.
