Bug still exists, when output chain was changed to lfe/no amplifier this turns from itself back to earphone/amplifier within seconds. In 11.10 the bug exist in i386 and amd64 on. No way to change the amplifier chain to non amplifier, the sound is distorted and let the speakers fart. In full release alsactl simply does nothing but this hang. I get boomed by my full power subwoofer and cannot store the mixer setting by this ugly fault.
