have both my tv card installed and the scanner connected.

[Bug 87312] Re: xsane takes my TV card for a scanner

2008-06-19 Thread Oumar Aziz OUATTARA
I can tell you without removing my TV card that XSANE doesn't recognize
my scanner. But that's another issue. I have opened this report because
it takes my TV card for a scanner, not because the scanner is not
recognized.

Both are different issues indeed.

[Bug 87312] Re: xsane takes my TV card for a scanner

2008-06-18 Thread Hewus
Thanks for the update. I have recently installed a tv card myself, and
when starting xsane with my scanner also connected, I get a choice of
which device I want to use. Perhaps the issue here is not related to the
tv card, and instead it simply can't detect the scanner? Would you be
able to remove the tv card from the system and retest with just the
scanner to isolate the issue? Thanks again!

[Bug 87312] Re: xsane takes my TV card for a scanner

2008-06-08 Thread Oumar Aziz OUATTARA
This is still happening on Hardy :

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ dpkg-query --show xsane
xsane 0.995-1ubuntu1

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description:Ubuntu 8.04
Release:8.04
Codename: hardy

lspci gives the same output.
The scanner is still the same also.

[Bug 87312] Re: xsane takes my TV card for a scanner

2008-05-05 Thread Hewus
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue
for you? Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release (Hardy Heron)?
Thanks in advance.
