[Bug 87441] Re: libsdl-dev has failed dependancies

2008-08-18 Thread Bungaman
My last comment is only a workaround. What needs/needed to be fixed is
the broken dependancy.

What I did was installing it from within a terminal and it automatically
suggested to revert to the old packages. That's a great feature I
didn't know about :) And it works!

2007-04-08 Thread morrolan
Hi,
I did actually discover that the older version of the package I needed was
still available, so I managed to get this to work by forcing the older
version using synaptic. If you select the libglu package in Synaptic, click
Properties and go to the Version tab, you should see it still available. If
it is, you can force it by following the instructions on the versions page.

That's what I did, and it allowed me to step-back with the package and
nothing has broken to be honest, so it worked OK for me!

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
   libglu1-mesa-dev: Depends: libglu1-mesa (= 6.5.1~20060817-0ubuntu3) but
 6.5.1+cvs20060824 is installed.
   libgl1-mesa-dev: Depends: mesa-common-dev (= 6.5.1~20060817-0ubuntu3)
 but 6.5.1+cvs20060824 is installed.

So either the dev packages are not up to date or they are created with
 the wrong dependancies.

PGP is a secure email envelope. Do you realise that any postal worker along
the way can (and do) read your email? Do you send all of your regular post
on a postcard?

It's easy to use, and no-one else can read your mail (not even the
government!).

If you want to read a little more, try:
http://wolfram.org/writing/howto/gpg.html

There's no need to keep my public key a secret. Feel free to give it
away or put it on a telephone pole; write it in the sky if you'd like. You
can find my public key on the web. Try http://pgp.mit.edu. You can search
by my name or by my unique key ID [ 0x2F67D9B0 ].

The more people that have it the better. Use it to seal your envelopes when
sending me mail. I've got the only other matching key (my private key,
opposite the public key I've given to you) that allows me to unlock the
envelope. You can even lock an envelope so that multiple people can unlock
it on their own, but nobody else can read what you've sent them.
