Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg
After upgrading to xorg 7.2 (i think), i'm experiencing a lot of problems. I'm using xorg with nvidia 9631 driver (loaded correctly). Problems: - Some opengl applications, once started (180 fsp), become choppy and unusable (something like 5fps), even if the application itself is displaying the same frame rate (180 fps). Cpu usage is normal. - Sometimes mouse clicks do not work. i have to alt-tab to make the windows respond to mouse clicks. - Scrolling in firefox with the mouse wheel is very choppy (1fps). Using the lateral slide bar is ok. - Scrolling man pages in gnome- terminal with keys is choppy too. Scrolling in the text terminal is ok. - I'm getting multiple key strokes in normal typing (lliikke thhiiiiisss). - starting an application from gnome-panel quick start icons, the blue windows outline that comes from the icon and expands to the screen is often very slow (2fps for a total of 2 seconds). ProblemType: Bug Date: Sun Feb 25 14:12:45 2007 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 7.04 Uname: Linux studio-ubuntu 2.6.20-8-generic #2 SMP Tue Feb 13 01:14:41 UTC 2007 x86_64 GNU/Linux [EDIT] I'm not anymore sure it's xorg 7.2 after looking to log file: ... X Window System Version 7.1.1 Release Date: 12 May 2006 X Protocol Version 11, Revision 0, Release 7.1.1 ... In synaptic however i have xserver-xorg 1:7.2-0ubuntu1 installed.
