Public bug reported: Ubuntu release: Xubuntu 11.10 Architecture: x86_64 System: Acer TravelMate 5740G
I've had a problem after I woke up my notebook from hibernation (reopening the screen flap). I could log in back into XFCE and was asked by a dialog window to enter my password again to disactivate the screensaver. I actually came to the desktop then, and the system works as usual (I've had problems in the past with the screen turning black at this point and the entire system not responding anymore. I have filed a bug report on this some time ago), but my touchpad is not responding anymore. I have now plugged in an external mouse which works fine, but the touchpad is still disfunctional. Update: After a reboot my touchpad now works again. It definitely seems to be a bug related to the wake-up process. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: 11.10 5740g acer hibernation mouse oneiric touchpad trackpad travelmate wake-up xfce xubuntu -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/879951 Title: [Xubuntu 11.10] Touchpad breaks after wake-up from hibernation To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/879951/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
