Fixing bug 899858 does not fix this bug. Interestingly, if the user selects the device itself and then selects browse, it works. Hi kent, One of the variables was freed too many times. I think the only reason that this doesn't fail in precise is because the obex browse actually succeeds, and as a result the applet doesn't redisplay the dialog. I can confirm the same under Oneiric and I believe I also experienced this under Natty, but I'm not certain about Natty as it has been a while. I'm adding a trace when using browse off the first menu (where the applet crashes) and a trace when using the device submenu and selecting browse.
