I can also reproduce it in ubuntu 11.10/ Unity. Can you please complete the bug report by providing the information about your system?, by running: apport-collect 880500 When reporting bugs in the future please use apport by using 'ubuntu- bug' and the name of the package affected. Interestingly, the busy cursor appears in the guest session, but not mine. How strange. I can reproduce this with Ubuntu 11.10/Unity.
