Public bug reported:

With 11.04 no drivers were loaded the CQU-906 USB wifi dongle was plugged in.
Downloaded, built, and installed drivers from realtek.
They connected with the internet when the dongle was plugged in.

Upgrading to 11.10 resulted in linux-firmware drivers being loaded when dongle
was plugged in.
linux-firmware version 1.60
But that driver doesn't connect to the internet.

Tried to build and install the realtek drivers, but compile failed
because smp-lock.h file is missing.

Dongle light is on constantly in 11.10.
It is not on constantly when it was working on 11.04.
