Public bug reported: Starting lightdm --test-mode and logging into the currently logged in user leads to a corruped dconf. The desktop is drawn with stock icons and themes as described in bug #859723 and bug #879793.
After deleting .config/dconf/user and logging in again everything seems to work again.
