If I use sudo, I can't interact w/ the desktop icons. I don't use sudo, I get this msg: Attaching to program: /usr/bin/nautilus, process 10969 Could not attach to process. Please make sure you only used sudo when starting gdb. Nautilus should not be started with sudo. If you don't use sudo, for gdb attach to work, you'll have to disable ptrace protection. Could you launch nautilus from gdb, type 'bt' after the crash occurred and attach the backtrace here?
