[Bug 88800] Re: colormap corrupted
The bug didn't manifest itself since I made my last comment so I guess it has been either fixed or is gone in lurking mode. Anyway I think it should be closed. ** Changed in: Ubuntu Status: Needs Info => Rejected -- colormap corrupted https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/88800 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 88800] Re: colormap corrupted
I found a workaround: changing the screen resolution restores the correct colormap. -- colormap corrupted https://launchpad.net/bugs/88800 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 88800] Re: colormap corrupted
dpkg -S \*xylap\* dpkg: *xylap* not found dpkg -S \*xlyap\* xscreensaver-data: /usr/share/xscreensaver/config/xlyap.xml xscreensaver-data: /usr/share/man/man6/xlyap.6x.gz xscreensaver-data: /usr/lib/xscreensaver/xlyap xscreensaver-data: /usr/share/applications/screensavers/xlyap.desktop Funnily enough I thought *I* made the typo while the bug made me nearly blind, but no, it's xlyap, not xylap ;-) -- colormap corrupted https://launchpad.net/bugs/88800 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 88800] Re: colormap corrupted
This looks like a xylap problem to me. I couldn't find this screensaver in any package in Ubuntu, but found a reference over here: http://xforce.iss.net/xforce/xfdb/3415 Can you run dpkg -S \*xylap\* and attach the output here? ** Changed in: yelp (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: yelp => None Importance: Undecided => Low Status: Unconfirmed => Needs Info -- colormap corrupted https://launchpad.net/bugs/88800 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 88800] Re: colormap corrupted
If that may help, a process named xlyap is still using a lot of CPU even if the screensaver is not active anymore -- colormap corrupted https://launchpad.net/bugs/88800 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
