Public bug reported: Using Feisty!
Right click on Clock in Gnome panel at the top. Select preferences Un-check "show date" Select "UNIX" from "Clock Type" After that Gnome shows your panels a few times flickering on the screen, before removing the panels completely. Since I could not find any work-around or hint on how to repair broken panels, I deleted directories ".gconf*" and ".gnome*" from my home directory. After that I got at least a "fresh" Gnome setup. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Gnome Clock 2.17.92 crashes Gnome Panels if Preferences set to "UNIX" style https://launchpad.net/bugs/89822 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
