After one day of use, this behaviour came back. This does not seem to be the case here, this is what I did when trying to reproduce the problem. 1. started ccsm and set the launcher to never hide. 2. opened firefox, maximized it. 3. clicked on the firefox icon in the launcher and it appeared without any dis-orientation. Could you verify if I am following the correct steps to reproduce the problem or am I missing something. True, I have tried it in the guess user and it works as expected. I have reseted my users unity conf and it looks that it works fine now. We can close the bug, as it is not a bug:) It looked like my config files were wrong.
