Udev time out. Usung sdd drives. Totally unable to boot anything into ubuntu anymore. Other os ok. kernel 3.0.0-14 is not present into boot menu. anymore.(grub2) I think the upgrade does something wring with initramfs does have nothing to do with graphics. PLEASE REMOVE KERNEL 3.0.0-15 update !!! That's why I did not boot any more. By removing the specific HD it's ok. Same problem here on a Dell Latitude E6510 after 3.0.0-14 - 3.0.0-15 upgrade. I have the same problem with my Sony Vaio Z13. It works great with last kernel 3.0.0-14 but boot with a black screen since the first kernel 3.0.0-15. Using the 3.0.0-14.23 kernel, the HP Elitebook 2540p boots normally without a problem, but when booting with the 3.0.0-15.25 kernel, the screen also goes blank for me. I thought at first the problem may be that it thinks a second monitor as the main one so I plugged a second monitor in. When booting into 3.0.0-15 via recovery mode (picked resume normal boot in the first dialog), I also get the error from Bug #651104 and Unity comes up in unaccelerated 2D mode. I can boot 3.0.0-15 if I choose recovery mode from the GRUB menu, then pick the options to boot normally. I am guessing that this is somehow related to the additional graphics mode changes.
