[Bug 90752] Re: DVB - Guard interval changes for Channel Seven Australia
Even with this fixed the DVB-T channel information is limited and out- of-date for Australia. It may be unreasonable for the distribution to try and cover all the world's channels and changes. For Australia though, I found good information and made an up to date (March 2009) tuning files. I posted the info here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=6970739#post6970739 For people creating or updating the Australia channel files, I found the DVB-T channel plan for Australia here: http://www.dtvforum.info/lofiversion...hp/t19148.html I found what appears to be up to date local channel info for Australia here: http://vk3khb.gak.net.au/tv_lists/ From this information I built good scan files for my area. Note: I found the different channels using guards of 1/8, 1/16, and sometime 1/32. [Bug 90752] Re: DVB - Guard interval changes for Channel Seven Australia
Don't know. The project I was working on at the time has been disbanded, and as such I no longer have that (or any other) TV tuner card. But I am sure there are plenty of punters in Australia. You could get an account at http://www.whirlpool.net.au/ and then ask the people on this thread http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies- archive.cfm/900800.html (or a new thread in the same Linux/BSD forum) to relate their experiences with more recent Ubuntu versions. btw. That thread did mention the Guard Interval problem, on 7.10. -- DVB - Guard interval changes for Channel Seven Australia https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/90752 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 90752] Re: DVB - Guard interval changes for Channel Seven Australia
One more: This guy http://www.gedda.info/?p=188 seems to think it works out of the box on Hardy Heron. I can't quite work out whether his transmitter is au-Sydney_Kings_Cross or au-sydney_north_shore (and the Central Coast would be something like Newcastle, about 200km north of Sydney). -- DVB - Guard interval changes for Channel Seven Australia https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/90752 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 alpha? ** Changed in: linuxtv-dvb-apps (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- DVB - Guard interval changes for Channel Seven Australia https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/90752 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
