The Debian package has been fixed and is in the "testing" stream. Well, it's not a matter of the upstream version, but some of the Debian packages need to have their names changed. It's best to let Debian take the lead on this as a difference in renaming would cause issues with syncing in the future. The maintainer seems to be responsive, so I expect it to be fixed soon.
