[Bug 91724] Re: amarok no windows+c shortcut to pause anymore

2009-03-04 Thread Jonathan Thomas
We could probably add this by default in kubuntu-default-settings. For
now (as of Kubuntu 9.04 at least) it is possible to add global shortcuts
for actions via the Configure Shortcuts dialog.

[Bug 91724] Re: amarok no windows+c shortcut to pause anymore

2008-12-27 Thread rajan
i do not run compiz, nor had i ever heard of it before researching this
problem in amarok. unless 6.06 came with compiz installed, the problem
for me is not that. my keyboard was having some problems though and it
could have been that, but it's not very likely. thanks.

2008-12-27 Thread Harald Sitter
...or maybe compiz could not use shortcuts which are already used by
Amarok since the very day it supports shortcuts (which is defenitely
longer than compiz even exists).

Does everyone who reported to be affected by this issue run compiz?

[Bug 91724] Re: amarok no windows+c shortcut to pause anymore

2008-12-26 Thread Yannick Cholette
1. sudo aptitude install compizconfig-settings-manager
2. System->CompizConfig Settings Manager
3. Enhanced Zoom Desktop
4. Remove the shortcut for "Center the mouse" (mouse behaviour tab)
5. Restart Amarok

Maybe disable that shortcut (or find another one) by default?

I'm using Intrepid.

2008-08-08 Thread cfbauer
In Hardy here, the Win+C shortcut does not work either. I checked
"configure global shortcuts" and it is set for Win+C the way it should
be, but it still does not work. "Enhanced Zoom" in compiz is not
enabled either.

[Bug 91724] Re: amarok no windows+c shortcut to pause anymore

2008-07-15 Thread rajan
the most annoying part of this bug is that you can't set the pause to
anything using the windows key. I tried the win+n and a few other
combinations and nothing worked. However, now I have it set to cntrl+c,d
meaning i hold cntrl and hit c and d. This seems to work, but it really
would be nice to have a win+c again. I'm not sure how this was
overlooked -- if on purpose, can someone let us know why?

[Bug 91724] Re: amarok no windows+c shortcut to pause anymore

2007-12-19 Thread Ben Beasley
I had the same problem and reached the same conclusion as spadger. Now
that I have disabled the shortcut in Enhanced Zoom Desktop, Win+C
currently works only when Amarok has focus. However, I assume it will
become global again after a reboot. I'll report back later if this is
not the case. Looks like a simple shortcut conflict.

Giorgos Akrivas and Romain Despland reported that their Super+C / Win+C
global shortcuts were not correctly set; as in spadger's case, I found
that the shortcut was in fact correctly set. Is it possible there are
two separate issues reflected in the comments here?

[Bug 91724] Re: amarok no windows+c shortcut to pause anymore

2007-11-13 Thread spadger
I had the same problem and eventually tracked it down to the Enhanced
zoom desktop feature of compiz.

I just went into compiz config settings manager and disabled the
Enhanced zoom desktop feature which uses the win+c keyboard shortcut to
centre the mouse on the screen and then re-enabled the win+c under
amaroks global shortcut settings and it worked again.

Hope this helps.

[Bug 91724] Re: amarok no windows+c shortcut to pause anymore

2007-06-05 Thread Romain Despland
Hi,

I'm sorry for the lack of answer, (forgot to reply), I can confirm what
Giorgos Akrivas said, the shortcut is not set at all and it is the only
one in the list with no shortcut.

There is though a play/pause button with a shortcut XF86AudioPause, but
it's not the same action

And if I remember correctly, before when right clicking on the amarok
icon in the deskbar you had all the option you have now but not the
play/pause button, there were two options, play and pause. Seems like
they removed play pause to become only one and the shortcut was changed
to XF86AudioPause. My keyboard is a normal one, I don't have any key for
audio programs. I could easily change the shortcut but it would maybe be
better to put back Win+X and add XF86AudioPause as the second shortcut ?

[Bug 91724] Re: amarok no windows+c shortcut to pause anymore

2007-06-05 Thread Giorgos Akrivas
Hello,

the answer to Andrew Ash's question (What is the shortcut set to in
Amarok's Settings->Configure Global Shortcuts ?) is: the shortcut is not
set at all, while the other shortcuts (Win+Z, Win+X etc) are correctly
set.

I reopened the bug, as I can give the information asked.

Thanks a lot, it's just a small bug, and the user can correct it
himself, but it's slightly annoying...

[Bug 91724] Re: amarok no windows+c shortcut to pause anymore

2007-03-12 Thread Andrew Ash
What may have happened was that the shortcut for pause was removed and
replaced with Win+X for play_pause. That means Win+X will both pause
and restart playing (unpause) the track. Since play_pause and pause are
different shortcuts, it looks like the shortcut label was removed in the
R-Click menu on the Amarok icon.

Can you try Win+X and see if it does the above mentioned action?
