[Bug 918361] Re: [Lemur UltraThin, Realtek ALC272, Speaker, Internal] fails after a while
Switching to gstreamer package then. Any good logs I could provide? ** Package changed: alsa-driver (Ubuntu) => gstreamer0.10 (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/918361 Title: [Lemur UltraThin, Realtek ALC272, Speaker, Internal] fails after a while To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gstreamer0.10/+bug/918361/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 918361] Re: [Lemur UltraThin, Realtek ALC272, Speaker, Internal] fails after a while
Mplayer plays music just fine (and I made sure to use -ao pulse). So looks like a gstreamer issue? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/918361 Title: [Lemur UltraThin, Realtek ALC272, Speaker, Internal] fails after a while To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/918361/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

What happens with a music player that uses pulse, but does not use gstreamer, say mplayer as an example?
[Bug 918361] Re: [Lemur UltraThin, Realtek ALC272, Speaker, Internal] fails after a while
Just tested and without pulseaudio running, totem, rhythmbox, and banshee all seem to work fine. Once I have pulseaudio running again, they each do the freezing thing.
[Bug 918361] Re: [Lemur UltraThin, Realtek ALC272, Speaker, Internal] fails after a while
Yes, it does happen in Rhythmbox. Here's the pulse log for a run in Rhythmbox. I opened it, played a file, and it immediately entered frozen mode (sometimes a few seconds of music play first, but not this time). ** Attachment added: "pulseverbose.log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/918361/+attachment/2693163/+files/pulseverbose.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/918361 Title: [Lemur UltraThin, Realtek ALC272, Speaker, Internal] fails after a while To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/918361/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hi Michael, does the same thing occur with rhythmbox? When using banshee, please get a log as per https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PulseAudio/Log.
