Public bug reported:

After upgrading to Ubuntu 11.10, using GNOME Shell, LibreOffice refuses
to open. I double click it from the dock and it attempts to open and
does nothing. Same with trying to open a file. I then tried to open it
from terminal, and receive a bus error. I then tried to open a file from
terminal, and received the same error. Below is my terminal output:

nickolas@nickolas-Latitude-E6400:~$ libreoffice
Bus error
nickolas@nickolas-Latitude-E6400:~$ cd ~/Desktop/
nickolas@nickolas-Latitude-E6400:~/Desktop$ libreoffice A+\ Chapter\ Review\
tests.odt
Bus error
nickolas@nickolas-Latitude-E6400:~/Desktop$
