Firefox crashed after middle clicking a link to open a new tab. Firefox had not yet visited any pages except the first default page, which in this case was a Google personalized home page. The link that was attempted was: http://www.betanews.com/article/Viacom_Files_Landmark_Copyright_Case_Against_Google_YouTube/1173801741 After restarting, Firefox worked fine first attempt.
