[Bug 92528] Re: Please patch i810switch to work with i945

2008-02-27 Thread unggnu
I am closing this bug because i810switch has become obsolete with the
new Intel driver which is enabled by default since Gutsy. With this
driver and xrandr it should be easily possible to change monitor
configuration. If it still doesn't work for you please open a new bug
against package xserver-xorg-video-intel.

You should inform upstream developers of your efforts, they can help you
and eventually include your patch in the next release.

[Bug 92528] Re: Please patch i810switch to work with i945

2007-08-09 Thread Chris Wagner
Is anyone else having problems with the patch? It seems to work okay
for me. (Well, I have had some problems, but I don't believe they're
due to the i810switch.)

@lezem - Which patch are you using? The more recently posted, shorter
one? Could you get a detailed backtrace (see
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Backtrace).  Thanks.

@Master Ar2ro - Is it i810switch that is failing (with the seg-fault)?
Does it fail even when the patch is *not* applied?
