Re: [Bug 932399] Re: Lenovo u300s Touchpad is detected as imPS mouse
Unfortunately, I don't have this laptop any more with me, since it broke some time ago, so I wont be able to test this bug :(. On 2014-01-10, at 9:08 AM, Christopher M. If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications-Accessories-Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-input-synaptics REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER Please note, given that the information from the prior release is already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one would not be helpful. My touchpad is detected as a mouse so I don't get extra options to turn of the touchpad while typing (palm detect). I searched everywhere for a possible fix and I didn't find any :(, since this machine has a Syanptic , cypress touchpad (based on drivers that are installed for WIndows). Just a note: the Project Sputnik driver also works on the U300s. Unfortunately their kernel doesn't include the suspend/resume patch also needed on the U300s.
