[Bug 937915] Re: Oneiric update to 3.0.22 stable release

2012-03-07 Thread tekstr1der
The oneiric kernel packages in pre-proposed ppa are still building
against the 3.0.22 upstream kernel.

Any reason why there is no tracking bug and/or oneiric build for 3.0.23,
released upstream last week?

[Bug 937915] Re: Oneiric update to 3.0.22 stable release

2012-02-21 Thread Brad Figg
** Description changed:

  SRU Justification

  Impact:
The upstream process for stable tree updates is quite similar
in scope to the Ubuntu SRU process, e.g., each patch has to
demonstrably fix a bug, and each patch is vetted by upstream
by originating either directly from Linus' tree or in a minimally
backported form of that patch. The 3.0.22 upstream stable
patch set is now available. It should be included in the Ubuntu
     kernel as well.

     git://git.kernel.org/
