This bug is still present in Ubuntu 15.10 Wily Werewolf (development branch) Both alt and altgr produces an unexpected comma character when pressed after other msc. characters in the "to" and "cc" input fields in evolution mail. Using danish keyboard with nodeadkey. I still haven't been able to reproduce this in any other programs than evolution, so the bug should probably be reported on evolution instead. On 15.04 the problem still occurs. And as of this version of Ubuntu, disabling the HUD short-key as mentioned in #23 doesn't fix it any more. This bug is bugging me starting from the beginning of Unity desktop!!! The same issue exists in Ubuntu 14.04, Evolution 3.10.4 with the Hungarian keyboard layout, where You have to press AltGr + V to get the @ character. If any character is already present in any of the address fields then after pressing AltGr to type the @ immediately a ', ' appears, similarly to clicking back and forth with the mouse between the fields. Hi, I can confirm this bug on Ubuntu 13.10 with German (eliminate dead keys) keyboard setting. Easy to reproduce: italian keyboard, press AltGr key and you get , (comma followed by a blank character), in the text fields To:, Cc:, Bcc: as again showed in the attached screen shot. Same behaviour on Swiss keyboard (CH-fr), where the @ character is obtained by pressing AltGr + 2. What's interesting: if pressed as first character in the blank To, CC or BCC field, then AltGR +2 gives a @, correctly. I can reproduce by pressing Alt, but I think this is normal since that`s being caught by the HUD normally. For anything else, I`d say it`s localization-related. I can`t begin to explain why this would happen only in evolution, but I also know that evolution doesn`t treat AltGr specially. I can't reproduce this with the Italian or French (Swiss) keyboad mappings either. Anyone can provide me with a different way to try to reproduce this? Of course, I'm not running on the development release, but I can't see any difference in the keyboard related packages I could think of. No problem with gedit. The bug seems to affect just To:, CC:, Bcc:, fields of evolution package. No problem with other mail fields (e.g. gmail).
